In addition to the scientific papers, the CBMS also publishes the Magazine Cynthia, a biennial publication that summarizes the results of the previous two seasons, provides reports on various aspects related to the project, and includes articles focused on particular species and identification sheets of the most difficult taxa.
We also highlight here the monographs of the Butterflies of Andorra and the Butterflies of El Monsteny, written by project collaborators.
In 2003, the scientific journal Global Change Biology published the article Effects of climatic change on the phenology of butterflies in the northwest Mediterranean Basin wherein CBMS data was used to highlight the relationship between climate change and phenological changes of certain butterfly species.
We prepared an easy workshop based on this work that enables you to analyze a set of real data yourself. Specifically, the aim of the workshop was to study the relationship between the flight period of Melanargia lachesis and the temperatures recorded on the Cortalet transect in 1994-2012.
