The monitoring program www.catalanbms.org is designed to obtain solid and unbiased environmental information that contributes to biodiversity conservation policies and to a better knowledge of butterflies. All records obtained through the project become part of the MCNG databases where they are properly managed, processed and analyzed. By participating in this project, you therefore give us permission to use all your records in the way we think is most appropriate to achieve these milestones. The use of your data is in no way exclusive to MCNG and therefore you can share it with other organizations whenever you want.

Authorship is an intrinsic part of every observation and, therefore, both on www.catalanbms.org and on other channels linked to this project, your name may be associated with your observations. Your name may also appear in various sections or statistical rankings or queries of different types.

Observations regarding particularly sensitive species will not be visible to other web users. The rest of your data as well as the coordinates of the locations where you made the observations can be seen by any other web users.

Your observational data are scientific data and, therefore, once sent to www.catalanbms.org they will be part of the project and our databases for an indefinite period of time.

Our policy on minors

To register at www.catalanbms.org the user must be over 18 years old or, otherwise, he/she must have the authorization of the holder of parental responsibility of the minor.
