Itinerari situat dins de la reserva del congost de Mont-Rebei, a la comarca del Pallars Jussà, al municipi de Sant Esteve de la Sarga, a l’extrem oest del Montsec d’Ares. Es troba a la finca propietat de la Fundació Catalunya - La Pedrera. Es troba a una alçada mitjana de 536 m, i amb 7 seccions té una longitud total de 1.743 metres. L’itinerari es va realitzar del 2003 al 2022.
L’itinerari mostreja un seguit d’espais oberts als vessants orientals del riu Noguera Ribagorçana, que en aquest indret està confinat en el pantà de Canelles. La vegetació conforma així principalment prats montans, fonamentalment joncedes.
